Bill 148 – Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act

Building on the conclusions and recommendations of the Changing Workplaces Review, the goal of Bill 148, the Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, 2017, is to ensure that “fairness and decency must continue to be the defining values of [Ontario] workplaces.” The Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act takes a number of positive steps towards accomplishing this objective. Doing so has the potential to create fundamental and sustained positive change for all Ontario workers, today and for future generations.
