President Liz Stuart Discusses Government Education Announcements on CBC Radio

President Liz Stuart Discusses Government Education Announcements on CBC Radio On Wednesday, March 6, President Liz Stuart appeared on CBC Radio’s “Metro Morning,” hosted by Matt Galloway.

President Stuart discussed some of the recent announcements from the provincial government, including changes to the Ontario Autism Program, as well as a recommendation from the government that for the time being school boards “exercise prudent hiring,” which many have interpreted as requesting some form of hiring freeze. President Stuart explained the implications of the government’s actions, and what these would mean for students and teachers across Ontario.

Later that morning, President Stuart also spoke with Saroja Coelho of CBC Radio’s “Ontario Morning,” to discuss some of the challenges teachers will face following changes to Autism supports announced by the Ontario government.
