OECTA is seeking Religious Education instructors to deliver the Religious Education in Catholic Schools Part 1 course.

We strive to promote diversity in professional development and encourage applications from individuals who self-identify and have lived experience as sovereignty seeking First Nations, Métis or Inuit members, Black or racialized members, members with disabilities, Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual members (2SLGBTQIA+).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Member of OECTA in good standing
  • Specialist in Religious Education
  • 5 years teaching experience in Catholic schools
  • Member of the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing
  • Understand and uphold OECTA’s principles as governed by OECTA’s Constitution.
 
Additional Assets: 
 
  • Studies at the undergraduate or post-graduate level in Religious Education specific to the Catholic Faith
  • Experience delivering professional development in the field of Religious Education and Faith Development
  • Familiarity with the online environment, in particular Desire2Learn
  • Available during July and first week of August
