Celebrating God’s Enduring Presence (OECTA)

Celebrating God’s Enduring Presence in the Seasons of Our Lives provides a theological framework for facilitating staff retreats. This manual, developed by the PD Steering Committee, is intended to help staff deepen their spiritual connection and become enlivened witnesses of faith.

Bible: Today's English Version
A version of the Bible written at a Grade Five reading level, making it easier to understand but not always precise in its translation.
Catholic Curriculum Corporation
The Catholic Curriculum Corporation mission is to build and sustain the Catholic capacity of educators through the development and provision of high quality Catholic curriculum, resources support and professional development. The website contains teacher developed faith based resources across multiple subject, content areas and grades from Kindergarten to grade 12.g and sustaining the Catholic capacity of Catholic curriculum, resources, support and professional development.
Development and Peace 
A membership led organization supported by parish collections, individual donations and government grants, principally from the Canadian International Development Agency. It provides documentaries and other support material for Catholic educators on social justice issues.
 
Eastern Ontario Catholic Curriculum Cooperative (EOCCC)
EOCCC provides Eastern Ontario Catholic Schools with well-developed Catholic curriculum documents and support materials that meet Ministry of Education requirements, while reflecting the beliefs and values of the Catholic faith community.
 
Educating the Soul (ICE)
A document from 1998 that explains the context for creating and teaching Catholic curriculum in Ontario. 
General Directory for Catechesis (Vatican)
The GDC presents the methodology of the whole teaching mission of the Church. It is the basis of faith formation from cradle to grave. Sections 85-86 explain the six tasks of catechesis, which provide the strands for the Elementary Religious Education Curriculum.
 
Gifts of Love (CCC) 
A Collection of prayer services that can be used in classrooms. They are organized by the academic year.
 
Institute for Catholic Education (ICE)
ICE coordinates the work of Catholic associations and organizations in writing Catholic curriculum within the parameters established by the Ministry of Education.
 
Laudato si’ – Care for our Common Home

Laudato si' is the second encyclical of Pope Francis. The encyclical has the subtitle "on care for our common home". In it, the Pope critiques consumerism and irresponsible development, laments environmental degradation and global warming, and calls all people of the world to take "swift and unified global action."

The Laudato Si’ infographic and accompanying Grades 9-12 resource was developed by the members of OECTA’s Catholic Education Committee and OECTA’s Teacher Development Network.

These products provide accessible teaching opportunities that link key messages from our Laudato Si’ infographic with various secondary level subject areas.

Living Our Catholic Faith in School (OECTA)
This PD Steering Committee project is intended to invite discussion of how our Catholic faith is lived out in our schools, and to provide curriculum links to support this discussion. The intention is to support and celebrate the transformative power of Catholic education that is active and alive in our classrooms and schools.
Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Created by the Institute for Catholic Education, this resource is an invitation and guide, to those involved in and those who care for Catholic education in the province of Ontario, to pray together for nine days in preparation for the Solemnity of the Most Sacred of Heart of Jesus.

Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations
There are fifty-two expectations of Catholic graduates grouped into seven areas. These inform all Catholic curricula and extra-curricular activities in both elementary and secondary schools.
Our Language, Our Story

Stewards of the Gift, written for the Grade 10 Civics course, is about and for Ontario Catholic schools. Taking up the story of how Ontario Catholic citizens struggled for over 170 years to maintain recognition of their constitutional rights to operate and control their own schools. 
Writing Catholic Curriculum

This resource is intended to assist writers who will be working on writing projects/units. It provides a framework for writers to plan and review the work of infusing the Catholic worldview into the content of their writing, as well as providing background information, resources, and reflective readings.
