“I was blown away by how music and dance were used to teach, learn and create a positive learning environment. The resource teachers and I used many dances and songs throughout our workshops. This engaged the local teachers who, in turn, shared the rhymes, songs and dances they use to teach topics, reinforce learning and create a sense of community. I have brought many of these songs back to my SK/1 class, which has significantly increased levels of engagement amongst my students.
I’m very grateful for this opportunity, as it has changed my practice and the way I interact with my students, colleagues, and the world at large. Thank you OECTA, CTF and GNAT for giving me this opportunity to share, learn and grow, both as a teacher and as an individual.”
